Eliza Siracusan

Goes by: Miss Eliza

Eliza Siracusan, clarinetist, received her bachelors degree in performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music in 2005. Her primary teachers were Richard Hawkins at Interlochen, Linnea Nereim, and Franklin Cohen. She performs with the Seattle Collaborative Orchestra and as principal clarinet with Octava Chamber Orchestra and subs with Harmonia Orchestra, Philharmonia NW, Cascade Symphony Orchestra, and Saratoga Orchestra of Whidbey Island.

Eliza plays as much chamber music as she possibly can and especially enjoys collaborating with strings and piano. Annual summer chamber music concerts are presented by Eliza with friends in Snohomish including a variety of ensembles and repertoire.

She has taught lessons on and off since she was 16 years old. Eliza is now building a robust studio of inspired students in a supportive atmosphere. Working one on one with each adult or child to help them grow and improve is a rewarding process. Lessons with Eliza focus on good technique, relaxed body, good tone and intonation, musicality, identifying and creating effective practice strategies, and noticing and normalizing that squeaks and mistakes are part of growth!

Eliza lives in Snohomish with her family on 2 acres. Outside of music, Eliza likes to cook, do yard work, take lots of walks, and try out new restaurants with friends.
